My Favorite Snowball Cookies!

1 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup chopped pecans
Additional powdered sugar to roll the baked cookies in!

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2.  Mix the butter with 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar and the vanilla.

3.  Mix in the flour, nuts and salt.

4.  Roll about 1 tablespoon of dough into balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

3.  Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
4.  While cookies are still hot roll them in powdered sugar.  (I get out a mixing bowl, add 1/3 cup powdered sugar and roll the freshly baked cookies in it!)
5.  Cool on cooling rack and roll them in powdered sugar again.
